Reasonable Diet That’s Effective For A Teen? I Have An Exercise Program…?
FIRST: Please don’t tell me I’m to young to loose weight. Even my doctor told me I really need to loose weight or I can become an overweight adult (which I DO NOT want) and can get diabetes/other health problems.
Weight now : 205 lbs
Height : 5″8
Age : 13
Healthy weight : 135-145 lbs
Okay, I’m 13 years old, and I decided I’m tired of being a whale and want to loose weight. It’s a new year, and thats exactly my resolution. I even prayed for success in hatsuhinode! and I will in hatsumode, too. Anyways, back to the point. I’m 5″8 and weigh 205 lbs. I only look chubby, because I’m so tall, but I know that being overweight can lead to diabetes and health problems and I really don’t want that for myself. So, I already picked up a exercise program.. I switch between walking and running for 30 minutes, then I come home and lift 4 pound weights, in different positions. I have the two weights and a bench. I also stretch and do some sit ups after. And well, I only put that together because of what I’ve read – different work outs at home that are pretty effective for most people. So now, I’m just asking, anyone that has any suggestions for my program would be really helpful! But the main reason I’m here is for any good diet.. Something reasonable.. Not like, buy a weeks worth of acai berries or buy a month of speeciiaaalll slim fast drinks and food or whatever. I mean somethings I can cut back on and things I can eat more that will help me loose weight. Oh and, I’m not one of those people who’ve tried everything and nothing has helped me, thankfully, and no, being overweight really doesn’t run in my family. I’m just a newbie, and this is my first time really going to try to loose weight. And I know I can if I work hard. My main goal is to be about 130-135 by the end of the year or sooner if I can. I’m using the whole year to loose about 75 pounds. I’m going to Missouri in the summer to see my cousins, and I want to be atleast about 150-160 when I go. I don’t know if that is realistic or not, If I can weigh less than that by the summer then thats good too. People have told me the heavier you are the more pounds come off in the beginning. So, I’m planning to do this exercise every day, 7 days a week. I really want to work hard for this. So if anyone has any suggestions on how I should have my diet, so that it can help be more effective to my weight loss, please share!!!! Thank you so much!! Exercising seven days a week is actually unhealthy for your heart. six days a week is reasonable for a man of average fitness. I suggest you don’t over exercise and negatively impact your life.
It is important that you eat a variety of food groups. There is really no certain diet plan to lose weight (just use your common sense). Just make sure you don’t over eat, don’t eat any fatty food and make sure you are eating a wide variety of food.

ok you are a teen and will still want burgers and ice cream on occasion so here is my recommendation.
dont do anything different for one week except writing down everything you eat. what it is and how much. then from that examine why you ate it was it part of a meal or a comfort food. next use a smaller plate a large sandwich plate as wide as your hand is your serving size per meal. dont heap it up.
salads, veggies pickles, etc are free pretty much all you can eat foods. watch the dressing the spritz on kind is great if you have to have something on it. little or no soda water with lemon or lime is best.
take a good multi vitamin
remember everything in moderation and good luck
well, i have a few tips for you:
first of all, your exersise program sounds ok but im pretty sure you are going to get sick of the same old thing. so i recommend kickboxing or taebo. you can look up those workouts on youtube. and in my opinion they are more overall effective and entertaining i guess you could say.
secondly, when it comes to your diet. completely lay off the soda. i dont care if they are diet or not! and if you must have soda try this. set a monthly weight loss goal and if you meet that goal then treat yourself to one can of soda. try sticking to strickly water also snack on fruits and veggies in moderation between meals instead of chips or chocolates. last but not least dont eat anything after about 6 or 7 p.m.. and im sure you know not to over do it at meal time.
